What the heck is going on in my life? Oy.

Oh my goodness. This month has been hell. Work went from mostly crazy to completely insane. In fact, it went so completely insane that I put in my two weeks notice and quit.
I am currently sitting in a hotel room with my boyfriend and my mother on our way to my (and the boyfriend's) new home in Colorado. We are moving to Colorado because that is where my new job is! I'm not so careless as to put in my two weeks notice without having another job lined up. Though I considered it a lot in the past few months.
So the job hunt and the packing and the stress all added up to less time to blog about what I was reading.
Debby with a Y and I had a discussion about whether or not audiobooks count towards my goal. We decided that they did, which is good news for my February goal. Due to my complete lack of time to read actual books, I was stuck with the audiobooks that I read/listen to on the way to and from work. So today was my birthday and the last day of February. I started the first book of the Stephanie Plum series on the first day of February and today I finished book ten. They are short, page-turner type books, so that's why it was so quick.
I feel slightly guilty for reading these books because they are I guess what I would call "fluff," but that doesn't stop me from reading them. Sometimes you need a little fluff in your life.
The books are pretty funny and occasionally strange. I feel very attached to the characters in these books. They are just so lovable that I find myself getting mad when someone hurts them and stuff like that. They have also technically changed my life.
When I read the first book several years ago, I got to the part in the book where Stephanie is in the shower and she sees a figure on the other side of the shower curtain and she thought it was the boxer/rapist guy scared me so bad that ever since then I only buy light colored shower curtains so I can see through it in case of rapists.
My mother just told me to get off the computer and go to bed. We have to get up early to drive another leg of the trip. She said it like I was still a teenager who needed to be told things like that. It was a pretty serious flashback moment.
I will try to be better about blogging in the month of March. I promise.

  1. I guess I have to go find out about Stephanie Plum. Does that count as ten books?
